YG opens China's 1st K-pop artists theme park
(YG Entertainment) |
YG Entertainment said Tuesday it has opened a digital theme park called "Play K-pop" in Quzhou, Zhejiang Province, for the first time in China, with support from the Seoul government.
The theme park offers a chance to enjoy hologram performances of K-pop artists represented by YG and various digital attractions where visitors can create pictures with their favorite stars, the agency said.
On show now is BigBang's "Fantastic Baby" and "Bad Boy," 2NE1's "I'm the Best" and "Fire," and Psy's global mega-hit "Gangnam Style" and "Gentleman," it added.
YG has worked with Next Interactive K (NIK), a company that produces entertainment content combining K-pop content with digital technologies, for the "Play K-pop" project. NIK is a joint venture of YG Entertainment, KT, Paradise Group and local digital entertainment content developer Dstrict.
The two companies plan to open a theater for a K-pop holography show inside China's Beijing Olympic Stadium at this month's end, YG said. (Yonhap)
