Han Seung-yeon, of the defunct girl group Kara, took a barista test before the group’s breakup.

Han, 27, posted an exam registration slip identifying that she took barista exam in January on her social media network Monday.

“It’s been a long since I took a test (living a normal life as a student),” she wrote on her Instagram account. “This is how I’m doing these days.”

Singer-actress Han added she has still not acquired the certificate.

The test for certified barista, organized by Korea Coffee Association, consists of a written exam and coffee-making test, and is divided into two tiers. Han took tests in tier 2.

The posted slip shows that Han’s coffee-making test was numbered 50 between Jan. 15 and Jan. 17, implying that she had passed a written test in December. The girl group Kara was officially disbanded on Jan. 15, and it is evident that she boned up for the test and took it as a member of Kara.

“We have not checked whether she took the test before she joined the agency as a Kara member,” a staff at Han’s management agency J,Wide Company told Kpop Herald. “It’s her private matter.”

Han joined the agency, which houses actor Lee Sang-yoon, actresses Go Joon-hee and Uhm Ji-won, on Jan. 26.
