Hani of EXID and Heechul of Super Junior are to take on hosting duties on celebrity entertainment show “Weekly Idol,” according to MBC.

Until last November, the program‘s official hosts were comedian Jung Hyung-don and rapper Defconn. However, Jung announced his decision to step down from the position due to health issues, leading to a rotational cohost system.

Due to the lengthy absence of an official host, the show’s channel MBC Every1 finally announced the new permanent hosts of the program. Hani and Heechul will now replace the spot vacated by Jung, with Defconn holding on to his position.

Until Jung Hyung-don decides to return to the entertainment industry, the three hosts are expected to lead the program.

The first episode of “Weekly Idol” hosted by the new members is set for filming on March 23 and scheduled to be broadcast in early April.
