The seven-member boy group showcased “Fly,” the lead track of its latest half-length album “Flight Log: Departure” on Thursday evening on “M Countdown,” their first-ever win. The new album was released Monday with double lead tracks “Fly” and “Home Run.”

JB, Mark, Junior, Jackson, Youngjae, BamBam and Yugyeom waved to fans on the app after nabbing their first music prize.

Leader JB and other members first thanked their Korean fans for their love and support. They said this is just the beginning and they will work harder to please fans.

Yugyeom expressed his appreciation for his bandmates for making their efforts in making the performance possible and hoped to continue to develop their music.

Youngjae thanked the staff members, the JYP family and worldwide fans who helped them perform their music.

Multinational group GOT7 officially released the music video for “Fly” three days prior. Thanks to fans around the globe, the music video drew more than 1 million viewers on YouTube in the first thirteen hours following its release, and the numbers are shooting up -- already nearing 8 million views as of early Friday afternoon.

The men of JYP Entertainment’s rookie band DAY6 showed enthusiasm through Naver’s V app Thursday after recording their first performance on TV.

In the waiting room of “M Countdown,” a signature music show of local cable television network Mnet, Sungjin, Jae, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon seemed excited after meeting fans while performing “Daydream” live.

Sungjin said, “There weren’t so many opportunities to introduce ourselves, so this debut performance on a music show is really something.”

“Daydream,” the group’s second EP, is the first album to be broadcast on a TV music show. The group has been focusing on live performance until now.

Sungjin said, “I think our first recording wasn’t so bad, but not completely satisfying. Still please enjoy it. This is our first ever TV broadcast, not to mention first time on TV.”

The rest of the band agreed, saying the day would be marked as the happiest moment of their lives since they had no idea they would be able to perform their new album on TV.

The rookie band will continue promoting their six-track album and its lead track “Letting Go.”

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit www.vlive.tv.
