K-pop star Psy will release a new song in the near future, according to a local report Monday.

“Psy is preparing for his comeback, but the date for the new release has yet to be determined,” a source from YG Entertainment was quoted as saying by online news outlet Star News.

The source added that Psy recently filmed a music video for the new song.

The song will mark the 38-year-old singer’s latest work since his seventh full-length album “Chiljip Psy-da.” The soloist gained worldwide fame following the phenomenal 2012 release of “Gangnam Style” from his sixth album “Psy 6,” which brought about seismic change in the K-pop scene.
