Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and American hip-hop artist Wiz Khalifa were supposed to hold a collaborative performance at the 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards on Friday, but the collaboration didn’t pan out and now both artists are seen blaming each other.
After the performance fell through, Wiz Khalifa tweeted that Taeyeon had backed out of the performance.

In response to the claims, Taeyeon wrote a lengthy explanation to her Instagram on Sunday to explain the situation to her fans. She explained there were audio file issues as well as stage equipment problems that caused the performance to fall through.

In response to Taeyeon’s claims, Wiz Khalifa took to his Twitter to lash back, claiming Taeyeon had to go to the hospital and canceled last minute.

In response to the accusations, Taengstagram, a fan page dedicated to Taeyeon, uploaded a video from the artists’ Instagram on the night before the performance. The video shows the singer in her hotel room after she had washed up. The caption read: “She didn‘t go to the hospital buddy. She was waiting for you and washed up.”

After Taeyeon’s fans backed her claim with the video, some fans became divided on the use of Taeyeon’s Instagram. In response, Taeyeon wrote a short explanation Monday that seemingly supports the use of the video in defending her.
