K-pop idols appeared at the photocall for the 2016 KBS Song Festival on Thursday in matching colors -- white for the girls and black for the boys.

I.O.I appeared on the red carpet in white mini chiffon dresses while JYP’s multinational girl group Twice wore different designs with a white theme.

The six-member girl group GFriend also joined the trend with all-white mini dresses.

The K-pop megastars of EXO posed at the photocall in matching black suits with a one-buttoned jacket and different types of ties.

Similarly, boyband SHINee donned black outfits with different designs.

The record-breaking boyband BTS added some deviation to the color with navy and burgundy but still remained in the deep color range.

Park Bo-gum and Seolhyun of girl group AOA, the hosts of the show, were not an exception to the trend. While Park showed up in a black suit with peak lapels and a white shirt with a black crossover bow tie, Seolhyun was in a creamy beige colored V-necked column dress, showing rather clear color contrasts between the two.

Meanwhile, Taeyeon from girl group SNSD, who is now also pursuing a solo career, appeared in a navy ruffled shift dress and a pair of over-the-knee length black boots.
The 2016 KBS Song Festival was held at the KBS Hall in Yeouido. More than thirty K-pop acts performed, including Infinite, CN Blue, B.A.P, BTOB, EXID, AOA, GOT7, Mamamoo, Hwang Chi-yeul, and Shinhwa.
