K-pop group Oh My Girl said Monday that JinE will be benched for the upcoming new album and subsequent activities related to the release, as she is undergoing treatment for anorexia.

In an official statement, WM Entertainment said JinE will not take part in the new album that is slated to be released in April.

“JinE and the company have discussed the matter since she ceased her performances last August due to anorexia and decided that it would be best for her to rest for her health,” the agency said. “For the time being, (Oh My Girl) will be a seven-member group, and the company will support JinE in her treatment.”

JinE, 21, whose real name is Shin Hye-jin, has been staying in Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, with her parents since being diagnosed with the eating disorder last year.

The originally eight-member group debuted in 2015 with a self-titled EP and was promoted as a sister group of B1A4 of the same company.
