The final episode of “Tomorrow With You” failed to surpass 2 percent in viewership ratings.

The 16-episode tvN drama, which was in the same time slot as the megahit “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God,” recorded 1.8 percent in viewership ratings for its final installment, according to market research firm Nielsen Korea.

The drama kicked off with a 3.9 percent viewership which has since dropped to 1 percent. The viewership rating rose slightly after it hit its lowest of 0.9 percent for its 11th episode but fell again to 0.9 percent for Friday’s episode.

It is the lowest viewership rating for the broadcasting station’s Friday-Saturday 8 p.m. drama since “Ex-Girlfriend Club” aired in May 2015.

Many Korean media outlets said the reasons for the series’ poor reception was the now worn-out theme of time travel fantasy and complicated plot which hampered new viewers from joining.
