Kim Rae-won apologized for posting a photo of Hollywood film “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” on his Instagram, Monday.

The actor took a photo of the movie screen, while watching the movie, which violated copyright laws and could result in a hefty fine.

“We deeply apologize for causing such controversy, concerning Kim Rae-won‘s uploading of a photo after watching the film,” said HB Entertainment, which represents Kim, in a statement. “After realizing what he has done wrong, he is deeply remorseful and regrets the incident.”

After the backlash, Kim replaced the social media post with a still of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.”
