Tzuyu and Jihyo of Twice

Tzuyu and Jihyo of Twice chatted with fans via Naver’s V app before holding a fan meeting Friday evening, sharing the latest dreams they’ve had and singing snippets of popular songs.

“Hey everyone, we’re in the waiting room preparing for our meeting event,” said Jihyo as she began the broadcast. “We’ve just had a pork lunchbox for dinner.”

Jihyo went on to talk about her nightmare from the night before -- a dream where she was pressured to eat live worms.

“In the dream, I was in the middle of presenting a music show in which we held some sort of a competition. And there, everyone was pushing me to eat live worms, and I was groaning throughout the night. And then I woke up to someone calling me,” Jihyo said.

“This long earring that I’m wearing now reminds me of that dream. Eeek, it was so unnerving,” she added.

Tzuyu and Jihyo also shyly sang a cute love song called “Oppaya” by Shin Hyunhee and Kim Root at the request of a fan on the V app.

The two also thanked fans for cheering them with high enthusiasm and showering them with love during Twice’s appearance on “Show! Music Core,” saying they were touched.

Tzuyu also talked about how Twice watched Mnet’s K-pop audition show “Produce 101” the night before, saying it brought back memories of “Sixteen,” JYP Entertainment’s reality girl group survival show in which girls competed to secure a spot in Twice.

“Watching the show really reminded me of ‘Sixteen’ and brought back lots of feelings,” Tzuyu said.

Jeongyeon and Dahyun, who is celebrating her birthday on Sunday, also briefly joined the broadcast to say hello and take selfies with Tzuyu before taking off to get on stage for the fan meeting.

Akdong Musician

Chanhyuk and Soohyun of the brother-sister K-pop duo Akdong Musician made a rare appearance on the V app on Friday evening while preparing to get on stage for their concert in Busan.

“We’re backstage preparing for our concert. It’s been so long since we’ve come on V app and thought we’d briefly show you guys around and chat,” Chanhyuk said while a hairstylist dried his hair.

Chanhyuk flaunted his new hairstyle, with a shorter hair on one side and longer hair moussed to the side. “I’m done with my makeup, but Soohyun doesn’t want to show her face.”

“I will protect her (bare) face. Bad things will happen if I do,” Chanhyuk said jokingly.

According to Chanhyuk, AKMU has been performing at more than 10 concerts lately as part of their nationwide tour, but it has been more rewarding than tiresome.

“We usually lose our voice after a concert, because of the encore performances. But surprisingly, we are not that exhausted but rather energized and motivated to do better next time,” Chanhyuk said.

Park Si-hwan

South Korean singer Park Si-hwan held a live broadcast while moving on a golf cart at the Seowon Valley Country Club in Paju to perform at the club’s “Green Concert” on Friday evening.

“We’re at the Seowon Valley Green Concert and I’m on my way to sing. I’ll be performing exactly two songs without encores,” he said while riding on the green.

Park continued broadcast even after arriving at the stage site, saying he would continue his broadcast so that fans could see his live performances as well.

Park later took the stage, singing his signature ballad “Full.” He also invited the audience to sing and dance along to a more upbeat song called “My Heart Beats.”

“Thanks for watching everyone. This was Park Si-hwan from the Seowon Valley Green Concert. See you again soon and have a great day,” he said, wrapping up the broadcast.
