Song Joong-ki says he enjoys watching his films in theaters after they have been released.

He does not wear a mask on these forays to the cinema. “It’s more noticeable if you wear a mask. I just go with a cap,” he said in an interview with The Korea Herald on Tuesday in Palpan-dong, Seoul.

“Surprisingly, nobody has recognized me yet. Inside the theater, I’m sitting right next to people and I can even hear their breathing. They see me on the screen but they don’t know I’m right next to them.”

The actor added that he enjoys listening to the responses of audience after a movie.

“I am probably going to go watch ‘The Battleship Island’ over 20 times,” he said.
