Kim Hee-chul will fully participate in Super Junior’s upcoming album, his agency Label SJ said Wednesday.

On Tuesday night, Kim wrote a lengthy post on his Instagram account, saying he would not be able to fully participate in the group’s promotion of its upcoming album due to his leg injury.

In 2006, he was in a car accident that resulted in several metal pins being inserted into his fractured leg.

“I feel sorry toward long-awaiting fans and my group mates, but I feel insecure,” he wrote. “If I can be forgiven by working harder on variety shows and promotions, I will muster up my courage,” he added.

However, Label SJ addressed fans’ concerns over Kim’s health and speculations that he would sit out from the group’s activities, saying, “He was just concerned about his leg pain ahead of the comeback.
Also, during his earlier activities, he performed onstage but didn’t do high-intensity choreographies.”

Super Junior is set to release its eighth full-length album “Play” on Nov. 6. Kangin, Sungmin, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun will not participate in the album.
