Timoteo and Hojeong of K-pop boy band Hotshot revealed their determination to ace the competition in TV talent show “The Unit.”

“The Unit,” also known as “Idol Rebooting Project,” is a competition in which less well-known K-pop singers compete for spots in a project group with hopes for another shot at stardom.

Timoteo and Hojeong sat down for an interview with the show’s producing staff, who asked them the reasons behind joining the program.

Timoteo began his response, “The thought of a survival competition daunted me at first.” He then brought up hard moments he had faced with his band, including a moment when Hotshot nearly disbanded. “But then we were still thirsty. We joined (The Unit) to make a big name for ourselves.”
