Actor Jung Hae-in from the ongoing popular drama “Something in the Rain” spoke up for the first time after being embroiled in the recent “center” controversy.

Jung wrote in a letter posted on his fan site, “I just came back from filming the last episode of ‘Something in the Rain.’ I’ve been just spacing out, feeling empty, and writing this letter to you.”

“This drama will be forever unforgettable. I usually feel relieved after finishing a production, but the emotions I’m feeling right now are very different from before. I can’t put them into words for now. The drama will end next week, and please sit through the last episode as I, one of the viewers as well, will be with you. I received this award that is too good for me thanks to you guys. I just wanted to say this… As I’ve said in my award speech, I’ll keep walking my given path with silence and patience.”

Previously, Jung was at the center of controversy due to his position in a group photo for the “54th Baeksang Arts Awards” held on May 3. Reportedly, there is an unspoken rule that the winners of Grand Prize take the center place in a group photo, but Jung, who won the “Popularity Award,” stood in the center. Netizens have been criticizing Jung for not yielding the center position to directors and senior actors, calling him rude.

Jung has been put on a pedestal with the nickname “national boyfriend” through the popular drama.
