Tiffany of Girls’ Generation penned a heartfelt letter to fans to share her thoughts on a recent change in her life.

The lengthy letter, which was shared on the artist’s Instagram account Friday, came days after she signed with a major entertainment agency based in the US, taking a step forward in her solo career.

She wrote, “Music. Yes. This is about music. I do feel a bit uneasy, nervous, vulnerable and almost naked in a sense.… And that feels empowering because it’s ME. I’ve always mentioned that music has been and will FOREVER be my sanctuary.”

Tiffany also credited Girls’ Generation bandmates and fans for enabling her to find her own individuality, while expressing excitement over the new start of her solo career.

“I’m excited to be in a time and age where I want to push aside the pressures and fears of failure, rejection, and expectations in order to express more of myself. I’m feeling more confident and comfortable in my own skin. And I am excited to share that feeling with you,” she added.

Tiffany changed her moniker to Tiffany Young under her new US agency, Paradigm Talent Agency, which houses big names such as Ed Sheeran, Coldplay and Jason Mraz.

Although Girls’ Generation has not officially disbanded, Tiffany left S.M. Entertainment in October last year, alongside bandmates Sooyoung and Seohyun.
