Over a year has passed since striking out on her own, but former I.O.I member Chungha says she still feels burdened promoting solo.

“I’m a bit sensitive as my comeback day is near. I somehow got used to the process of preparing albums by myself, but it’s still hard. Filling the stage alone still comes as a huge burden for me, and I miss the days as a member of I.O.I,” said Chungha during a recent interview with a local magazine.

The artist is gearing up for the release of her third EP “Blooming Blue,” slated for Wednesday.

Despite the pressure, Chungha said she takes comfort in promoting her new song at the same time as the Gugudan subunit consisting of former I.O.I members Kim Se-jung, Mina, and Na-young. The new group recently released its first single “Semina.”

“I called Na-young few days ago, and she suggested I merge my name into ‘Semina’ and promote as ‘Seminachung,’” she said.
