Ex-Wonder Girls member Sunye signals return to K-pop

Sunye appeared on the popular music show “King of Mask Singer” on Sunday, signaling a comeback to the music scene.

Sunday’s show was the first time in five years that Sunye had performed on stage, and she wore a Honey mask -- ”Honey“ being the name of a character from the famous Korean animation series “Run, Honey.”

During the show she sang a couple of songs, including “Breath” by Park Hyo-shin.

During the show, the singer said she wanted to make music that energized people and made them feel supported. She also added that the show was a great opportunity.

Sunye, who has spent the last five years focusing on the care of her two young children, recently signed a contract with Polaris Entertainment.
