The members of the K-pop girl group Nature talked about their favorite foods on V Live on Tuesday.

Gaga, who originally hails from Sichuan, China, picked hot pot as her favorite. Hot pot is a popular Chinese dish eaten communally and made by putting ingredients such as raw meat, vegetables and noodles into boiling water.

“Aurora especially likes meat,” leader Lu said when her bandmate couldn’t pick a favorite.

Uchae, the youngest member of the group, picked sushi. Lu recalled that Uchae had lost 4 kilograms before her middle school graduation because she so desperately wanted to eat sushi.

The five members then held a “food World Cup” where they picked their favorite foods.

Pictures of two dishes appeared on the screen and the members picked which they preferred. The “semifinalist” and “finalist” dishes then competed against each other until only one was left -- the ultimate favorite, beef rib stew. Beef rib stew is a Korean dish in which meat and bones are boiled together with soy sauce and vegetables.

In between rounds, the girls told stories about food.

“My dad used to make me breakfast with a fried egg sprinkled with chopped ham, rolled over rice. He used to write my name in ketchup on the egg,” Loha recalled, adding, “I still remember that smell of ham.”

After the food tournament, the members discussed what they would do during the Lunar New Year holiday if they got the days off.

Nature is a rookie band that debuted in August under N.CH Entertainment. It consists of Lu, Saebom, Chinese members Aurora and Gaga, Chaebin, Japanese member Haru, Uchae and Sunshine.
