“This is the first time I am livestreaming in the car. I wanted to thank everyone for coming to see me today,” he said beginning the segment.

“I haven’t had dinner yet and I am starving!” said the performer at around 10 p.m.

He told fans that he still had not finished work and was headed somewhere. “Don’t worry, though. I’ll eat something when I get there. I already ordered, and my mouth is watering just thinking about it.”

“I had a lot of fun today, as I was boosted by energy from you,” he said to fans who came to watch him play in the annual esports tournament for the second time.

As for NCT 127’s upcoming three-day concerts in Bangkok, the musician said he couldn’t wait to return to the city. “I love Bangkok. I can’t wait to feel the heat again. I also want to eat some papayas and drink milk tea,” said Taeyong.

“I didn’t expect the seaside to be this beautiful,” said Junghan, taking in the view as they reached a beach.

Joshua wrote the initials of their names and the band’s name on the sand, and The8 took pictures before jogging along the water.

“It feels so good,” said Joshua after reluctantly taking off his shoes to walk down the beach barefoot upon his bandmates’ urging.

Refreshed after dipping their feet in the ocean and frolicking along the shore, the trio went for a meal.

When it was time for the 13-piece act to go on stage, they switched gears.

“This is the first, and I can’t wait for it to begin,” said The8, telling fans he was the first to have his mic on.

Dogyeom and Wonwoo, on the other hand, confessed that they are nervous every time they perform.

“It seems to be going very well. We ourselves are hyped up since this is the first show of our Japan tour,” Junghan said breathlessly backstage between songs.

“This is the day we get to enjoy New York,” said Chaeryong in the car with a wide grin before the group split into ones and twos.

“(SoHo) is very easy to navigate around since it is neatly divided into blocks. And is a great place to shop with so many designer boutiques,” said Yuna, excitedly declaring that she would go on a shopping spree. “I can really feel the vibe of New York!” she said.

In another part of the neighborhood, Ryujin’s eyes went wide at the sight of an ice cream truck. “Getting an ice cream from an ice cream truck has been on my to-do list,” said Yeji, following Ryujin, who raced to the front of the pink ice cream truck.

The two decided to save the treat for later and went to check out a street accessories vendor first. “Look at all these earrings!” they said.

Meanwhile, Chaeryeong turned her selfie camera on to report that she had safely avoided a sudden shower and a Korean fan had recognized her and said hi.

“You would think as a Kpop reporter living in Korea, I’ll get to see BTS very often but that’s not the case. I’m so excited to cover the BTS concert this time,” said Ahn Sung-mi before boarding the plane.

Before the concert, the reporter first hopped into a pop-up store for official merchandise. “Should I get the cap?” she asked viewers, showing baseball caps in black and beige.

Ahn went on to look at a limited edition T-shirt with images of Big Ben, London Eye and of course, silhouettes of the septet, before spotting a pink short-sleeved T-shirt with “Persona,” the title of the band’s EP, written across the chest.

Outside the venue, she talked to fans -- who were chanting, singing, and dancing to songs -- eagerly waiting to see the band in person.
