BTS had more fun in the water in the 84th episode of “Run BTS!” -- the second installment of the program to follow the band during a summer day outdoors.

For the third round of games, the band members took turns on a water slide and competed to see who could stay in the air the longest. J-Hope was concerned when he saw how long the slide was. When a staff member demonstrated how to use it, everyone’s eyes went wide.

RM managed to win against Suga but could not believe he had to do it once again, since his team was one person short. Jimin, on the other hand, was eager to wait around as long as possible, trying out different poses before taking his turn, only to realize he could not even unfold his body. V showed enough control to make a V with his body, but it was J-Hope who won the race.

In the next round, the blob-jump contest, everyone succeeded in making faces while jumping off the water trampoline -- except for Suga, who decided to pass.

For the final game, J-Hope excused himself due to motion sickness before the rest of the bandmates started navigating an obstacle course -- but the biggest obstacles turned out to be the musicians themselves.

GOT7’s Youngjae shares downtime with fans

Returning with a glass of iced coffee, he was surprised when fans told him that Mark was also livestreaming -- but he decided to continue anyway.

While he tried to adjust the camera, fans noticed that there was a stationary bike next to him and asked if it was a coat rack.

“No! I actually work out,” said the idol with a laugh.

The band is rehearsing for a fan meetup in Thailand, scheduled for Sept. 5-8, he told fans as he snuggled with his dog.

Lounging in the living room, the performer flipped through TV channels, saying to himself, “I will be so happy if there was one featuring us.” Instead there was a rerun of “Hyori’s Homestay” and he confessed that he had been a huge fan of the singer when young.

NCT’s Jaemin turns 19

Jaemin of NCT took to V Live to spend some time with fans on his birthday.

“I am having a birthday party on my own -- no, there are close to 90,000 fans tuned into this right now!” he said after singing “Happy Birthday” to himself.

“Do you see this cake? It is topped with macarons, one of my favorites!” said Jaemin.

As for his bandmates, Jeno asked Jaemin what he wanted for his birthday but Chenle had already given him a present. Jisung told him to think of something he wanted to eat.

The birthday boy thanked fans for their messages posted online and assured them that he had seen them all.

Although he does not know what time he was born, he knows that his mother had a difficult birth and had to have a caesarean section.

“My mom is overseas now but she called me as soon as the clock turned to today to say ‘happy birthday,’” he said, adding sweetly, “Moms are the best.”

Super M gets mixed reactions from fans

The K-pop Herald took a close look at the big news about S.M. Entertainment’s “super group” Super M.

Described by Lee Soo-man, head of S.M. Entertainment, as “‘The Avengers’ of K-pop,” the band consists of seven members: Taemin of SHINee, Kai and Baekhyun of EXO, Taeyong and Mark of NCT, and Lucas and Ten of WayV.

Lee will personally oversee production of the group, which will be promoted at home and abroad, and the Korean entertainment tycoon has teamed up with Capitol Records -- a decision announced at an annual event held in Los Angeles last week by the major US record label.

No more details have yet been disclosed, but the reactions have been quite divisive, said reporter Yim Hyun-soo.

“I have seen a lot of tweets (about this) and not everyone is happy about it, to say the least,” he said.

Many of the skeptics would prefer that the parent company support bands individually rather than lump them together, explained Yim.
