“This is the first time we’ve all eaten together, at least since Kyuhyun returned,” said Sindong in response to a question from Leeteuk. Kyuhyun completed his military duty two months ago.

This brought back memories from two years earlier, when the bandmates met to say goodbye to the youngest member before he went off to serve.

“We even livestreamed the event and the first season of our reality show logged over 25 million views,” recalled Sindong and Eunhyuk.

“Even though I wasn’t there?” asked Kyuhyun.

To which Heechul replied, “Because you weren’t there.”

Focusing on their upcoming album, Leeteuk asked if anyone was writing a song for it.

“Should I give it a shot?” asked Heechul.

Kyuhyun volunteered to do the rapping.

“I thought you and Ryeowook were the rappers,” Heechul said, teasing the main vocalist, before Ryeowook chimed in to say the hip-hop genre was his specialty.

“We have been to one two years ago, but this is the first time we are going to a water park just the two of us,” the pair said excitedly.

As a warm-up they decided to try the giant water-splashing bucket, but did not forget to play a round of rock paper scissors first, to decide who would bear the full spill. Hueningkai survived, although he was soaking wet, and Yeonjun claimed to be a kind bandmate as he tried to tame the youngest member’s hair.

The two enjoyed the thrill of the waterslides, but had difficulty balancing themselves on their inner tubes as they were floating in a pool with waves.

“Let’s take pictures of each other in the water posing with a V,” suggested Yeonjun. But the mission turned out to be more demanding than it sounded, so they gave up and returned to the slides.

“It feels so good to play in the water,” said Yeonjun.

“We are here for a rehearsal,” said Kim Min-ju, carrying the camera around a waiting room.

She walked up to Kang Hyewon, who was looking at her phone, and asked what she was doing. Kang flipped her phone around to show a picture of Kim, admiringly saying how pretty she looked.

They had just been to the “La La Land” filming location, Kim explained, saying the beach was beautiful and that Kang had taken a photograph of her there.

“This will be your best portrait ever,” declared Kang proudly.

Meanwhile, Kim Chaewon was excited about her upcoming duo performance.

“I am preparing a special stage with Yuri ... I cannot believe that I will be singing in LA. I think I’m nervous,” she told her fans.

But onstage the next day, she seemed confident as she performed alongside Cho Yuri, singing “Love Will Show You Everything” from the “If Only” soundtrack.

Telling fans it was after 1 a.m. local time, he reported that the live performance had gone well and he would hop on a plane in a couple of hours.

“My hair is ... I fell asleep in the car after the show,” said the idol, touching his tousled hair.

Answering the fans’ questions, he said he loved being on tour.

“The flights can be slightly boring, but I can sleep. And when you get off the plane, everything is different and it is remarkable and fun. It is totally worth it,” said Wooseok. He also enjoys the diversity of food he encounters, he said, confiding that he can eat any food except for cucumbers and oysters.

To fight jet lag, the performer said, he tries to sneak in a nap before going onstage, for at least 20 minutes, to keep his body ready.

“But I have to be awake two hours before the concert begins. It would be a disaster if I fell asleep then,” he said.
