“I know there’s a lot of talk about my hair. Raise your hand if you want me to cut it,” he said, looking at fans’ messages in the live chat after he showed them his hair, which he wore in a small ponytail.

“I think I might keep growing it this year and probably cut it short again next year,” he said.

Asking fans how they had spent their Chuseok holidays, Yuta told them he had had a nice break back home in Nara, Japan, playing with deer.

He also thanked fans for his first-place victory at a sports competition for idols that aired during the holidays.

“Taeyong told me the news while I was in Japan. And it is all thanks to you,” said the performer. It would have been impossible, though, if not for his own efforts, fans commented, and he chuckled in agreement since he was the one who had scored the winning goal in the soccer match in a penalty shoot-out.

The 13-piece act’s third full-length album features 11 tracks, including the title number, “Fear,” co-written by Woozi. S.Coups and Vernon participated in writing the lyrics as well, explained Yim Hyun-soo.

The fast-paced, catchy song is totally worthy as the lead track and is “like a dark chocolate,” a dramatic change from the band’s previous upbeat and cheerful singles, agreed Yim and Hong Dam-young.

They are definitely going for more mature, edgier sounds and they are doing quite a good job, noted Yim. “Fear” aptly touches on everyone’s deepest emotions, commented Hong.

The band’s recent showcase event, where the album was unveiled, was a head-turner, said Hong, who was there. Imagine all 13 band members performing together in perfect sync, she said, adding that their choreography had grown even more dynamic.

Going through their messages, he asked fans to understand that he was eating, saying, “I have finished practicing and I am starving!”

The good news is that the healthy diet has brought down his body fat significantly, said the performer with a huge grin.

He went to the gym after having breakfast with bandmate Byungchan and since he had been on a diet and worked out regularly, he wanted to check out his body condition. He has lost 4 to 5 kilograms so far, he added.

“The fan meet is nearing as well,” Seungsik said, promising to ask the company for a bigger venue next time so that all of them can come.

He was later joined by Sejun, who praised him for working out so much.

“You will now have the best body of all the band members,” declared Sejun.

“I had such a perfect Chuseok, catching up with my family and eating everything I could,” she said. She even made songpyeon, a half-moon-shaped rice cake that Koreans traditionally eat during the holiday, with her grandmother.

When fans asked if she had gained weight, the idol responded with mock anger, telling them not to mind since it is her body and she will gain and lose weight as she pleases -- before going back into her cute voice, befitting her role as the youngest member of the girl group.

“Don’t worry, I will return as pretty as before,” she said.

Actually, she said, she is making efforts to boost her self-esteem these days since her self-confidence had been undermined recently, especially since her debut, confessed the idol.
