Singer Kang Daniel took to V Live to chat with fans and update them.

Holding a handheld fan and wearing a bright blue T-shirt, the singer, sporting blonde hair, was backstage at Saturday’s concert sponsored by PepsiCo.

Having performed alongside Seventeen and NU’EST, the singer sang two songs at the Pepsi 2020 Online Showcase: For the Love of Korea.

While telling fans he missed meeting fans in person, he urged viewers to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

He also gave fans an update on his recent release “Something,” which is part of the soundtrack for the drama series “Backstreet Rookie.”

“It’s my first ballad song that I worked with my songwriter friend on,” he said.

Despite having worries over whether his voice is ballad-friendly before recording the song, he said he was relieved that it turned out well in the end.

Ju-ne of iKON talks to fans

Ju-ne of boyband iKON was on V Live to chat with fans over the weekend.

The singer who appeared in a dimly lit room in a black T-shirt kept things casual as fans showered him with song requests including the birthday song.

“It’s my birthday today. Can you sing me the birthday song?” one viewer asked, to which Ju-ne happily said, “Of course.”

“Happy birthday to you,” he sang the song impromptu.

As if to show the global spread of iKon’s fandom, the chatroom was full of international fans, prompting one to say that English chats accounted for 90 percent.

“That’s true. People are watching and commenting from various countries. Thank you,” he said.

When another fan asked if he watches Netflix these days, he said he spends his spare time doing other things.

“I don’t really watch Netflix these days. I play the guitar,” he said.

Byung-chan of boyband Victon was in his studio Saturday night as he talked to fans on V Live.

Wearing a baseball cap and a white shirt, the singer cut a casual figure as he stared into the camera.

“Isn’t it time to go to bed?” one viewer asked the singer, to which he said he wanted to come on V Live and do some vocal training.

More fans threw casual questions, with one asking whether the singer had been working out.

“Yes I do work out a lot lately. I only eat stuff like chicken breast.”

Another question arose over to whom the studio he was in belonged to.

“To be specific, this studio is for everyone, not just for Seung-sik,” he replied.

NU’EST becomes farmers on ‘Bucket List’

NU’EST bandmates Ren and Baekho enjoyed being farmers on their show “Nu’cket List.” Ditching their day job for a change, the two members experienced a farmer’s life, which was on Ren’s bucket list for 2020.

“Watering flowers, going to a fruit farm and gardening,” Ren said to the camera back in December last year.

And fast forward to 2020, the two were at a farm in the suburbs of Seoul.

“Lettuce and cabbage are being harvested here,” Baekho said in excitement.

Taking in the view, Ren said he wanted to take a nap and maybe eat bingsu -- a popular Korean shaved ice dessert.

Baekho, who has more gardening experience, explained at that at the farm seeds are germinated which are then transplanted in the garden.

As Ren praised him for his gardening knowledge, the singer said it was all from helping his grandfather.

“I used to help him a lot as a kid,” Baekho said as he added he grew on Jeju Island until he was 16.

The two later spent time together planting basil.
