Sunwoo of The Boyz surprised fans by returning to V Live after going live with Hyunjae in his bandmate’s room.

“You weren’t expecting me, right?” he said, admitting that he still felt like talking although he’d been online alongside Hyunjae for 1 1/2 hours already. Despite the fact that he started broadcasting on his own at around 2 a.m., he stayed for 3 1/2 hours.

“My computer is not connected to the internet yet, which is why I usually bum on Hyunjae’s room. Once I get it hooked up, though, I’ll write songs here,” said the idol, referring to the studio he shares with his roommate.

He thanked viewers for tuning into his livestream and wrapping up a long day with him, especially since it was Monday. He hadn’t eaten dinner yet but was prepared with a box of castella sponge cake, he assured them.

“I take good care of myself so as not to worry you. I’m not skipping dinner for the V Live but really wanted to eat this,” Sunwoo said, and asked his fans to look after themselves as well.

Stray Kids' Changbin marks his birthday

Changbin of Stray Kids did a brief “voice-only” V Live to celebrate his birthday together with fans.

“I should have spent today with you,” he said, “but so many of you are sending me happy birthday messages. I have such happy memories of spending it together, though, so I came in the middle of doing something at this hour.”

The musician thanked everyone before discussing his just-released vlog clip.

“I thought I made quite a long video but it was mostly about my sister teasing me and calling me a ‘squid’ and eating. I need to learn how to make better videos,” he said. In Korean slang, a squid refers to someone who is not attractive.

He confided that he actually hadn’t celebrated his birthday very much before joining the band.

“There has been nothing special. Just a bowl of ‘miyeokguk’ and that was practically it,” he recalled. Miyeokguk is a seaweed soup that Koreans eat on their birthdays. Now, thanks to so many members of Stay, the band’s official fandom community, celebrating with him, he knows what a birthday really can be.

Victon's Han Seungwoo premieres 1st solo EP

Han Seungwoo of Victon held an online showcase Monday for his solo debut EP, “Fame.” He is the first member to make music on his own since the band was formed four years ago.

He kicked off the 90-minute concert with “Reply,” the third track from the six-track EP. His fans sent over 100 million hearts via the V Live application during the performance. The idol thanked them and joked that 100 million wasn’t enough.

“I spent most of the time in the studio, working on the solo album while also preparing for the band’s (engagements),” he said, confessing that he’d slept many nights on the studio couch. The idol wrote the lyrics to all six tracks and took part in composing the melodies, so it was even busier.

“There were certain degrees of expectations and all I could do was practice and put in more hours,” said the leader of the band, waving to his bandmates offstage as they came out to cheer him on.

Jackson of GOT7 came back on V Live, carrying on the bandmates’ livestreaming series.

“I did the shortest V Live yesterday, 11 seconds,” he said, referring to an extremely brief hello the day before.

“I just came by to say hello,” he’d said, promising to do an Instagram livestream shortly.

He would answer 10 questions and leave, said the idol. He told fans he’d gone to see the dentist for his semiannual checkup and that he’d met with some fans via video calls.

“New music is coming up, but I don’t know the exact date,” he told viewers. “I finished filming the music video. I wrote the treatment. We finished everything about a week ago, and I can tell you that it’s almost here.”
