K-pop singers including Sistar’s Dasom, Girl’s Day’s Hyeri, f(x)’s Krystal and BTOB’s Yook Sungjae have turned themselves into actors showing off their talents in every aspect from sexy to cute to charismatic. They have something in common: They are each the youngest of their K-pop groups.
Sistar’s Dasom, 22, is set to appear on KBS new drama “Peculiar Daughter-In-Law (working title),” to premiere Monday. Dasom will play the role of the member of once-popular K-pop girl group Ruby. This is not her first time on TV drama as she already strengthened her position as an actress by appearing in “Melody of Love” as a lead character. Girl’s Day’s Hyeri, 21, has also been coming up on the small screen as an actress, through JTBC drama “Seonam Girls High School Investigators” and SBS drama “Hyde, Jekyll, Me.” Recently, Hyeri was cast for a lead role in the upcoming tvN drama, “Reply 1988,” a franchise that produced a number of new stars.F(x)’s Krystal, 20, has been on several TV dramas such as MBC’s “High Kick: Revenge of the Short Legged” and SBS’ “The Heirs.” However, her appearance as a lead character on SBS drama “She’s So Lovable” was not so successful.
BTOB’s Yook Sungjae, 20, is building his acting career with supporting roles in “Reply 1994” and “Plus Nine Boys.” His recent appearance on KBS drama “Who Are You: School 2015” was also successful. By Lee Hye-won ()
