South Korean boy band NCT 127 released its third mini album “NCT #127 CHERRY BOMB” on Wednesday. The group recorded preorders of over 101,400 for the new mini album, which topped music charts in 11 countries. They are Finland, Norway, Argentina, Russia, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Colombia, Kazakhstan and Brunei. NCT is based in Seoul and debuted last year. Its name stands for Neo Culture Technology. It has multiple subunits based in cities worldwide.The group’s six-member unit NCT U made its debut in April 2016 with the digital singles “The 7th Sense” and “Without You.” The second unit, NCT 127, which is based in Seoul, made its debut in July 2016 with the mini album “NCT #127.” The third unit, NCT Dream, debuted in August 2016 with the digital single “Chewing Gum.” Subsequent units are expected to debut in China, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia.By Joel Lee ()
