Actress Hong Soo-ah is to return to the local TV screen. A press conference was held Friday in western Seoul, marking the start of a new KBS2 drama series “Love Until the End.” Hong was at the scene, as she features in the drama as the lead actress. The casting came as a surprise as the actress had been performing in China for the past five years. She hasn‘t been seen on the local small screen for some time.

“I wanted to do a production in Korea. But it wasn’t something I could do just because I wanted. I was really glad when the director asked me this time. Without reading the synopsis, I said I’d do it,” Hong said. “Back in China, my roles have been usually bright and kind. It may be a turning point in my acting career,” she said. “Love Until the End” will air its first episode on Monday 7:50 p.m. ()
